CNU to hold 1st international conference

THE Cebu Normal University (CNU)-College of Arts and Sciences will be spearheading the first International Conference on Arts and Sciences (Icas).

Icas carries the theme “Arts and Sciences Converges: Mainstreaming Creative Works and Sciences Innovations in the 21st Century.”

The conference will be on the seventh floor of the Teaching Arts Centrum Building in CNU on Sept. 18-19, 2019. It aims to provide an opportunity for researchers to upgrade their capabilities through sharing of best practices, and for them to meet other international advocates on research for the possibility of forging linkages and partnership.

There are four streams of presentation: Language, Literature and Communication; Physical Education, Sports and Exercise Science; Natural Sciences; and Humanities and Social Sciences that include and are not limited to Psychology, Philosophy, Religion, Public Governance and Tourism. The conference is open to faculty in basic education and tertiary education, researchers, research directors and graduate students here and abroad.

Icas organizers invited as speakers to the event Liza Perante-Calina, president of the Philippine Society for Public Administration and dean of the Development Academy of the Philippines-Graduate School; Raul Calderon, anesthesiologist of Clovis Medical Center in California, USA; and Abu Hassan Ahmad, professor at the School of Biological Sciences of University Sains Malaysia.

A registration fee of P4,000 will be collected from the participants and $100 for international participants. Interested participants may pay through Cebuana Lhuillier branches, indicating the receiver’s name as Dulce B. Anlagan with the contact number 0917-716-1136.
