AN ESTIMATED P810,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug bust operations conducted by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City over the weekend.

The operations led to the arrest of seven drug personalities identified as Ronald Ibanez, a high-value target, and Elcid Agsam and his five companions.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Ibanez was arrested by operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Leonardo Borromeo after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police buyer in Purok Ylac, Barangay 1 around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, September 15.

Recovered from Ibanez's possession were 13 sachets of shabu weighing 52 grams and with an estimated market value of P780,000, and the P1,000 marked money.

Pico said Agsam and his five companions were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 9 in Purok Avocado, Barangay 20 around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Recovered from Agsam's possession were 10 sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P30,000, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.
