WE PRAY to God when we are in pain or when we are in trouble. We pray when we are sick, or when people have terminal illness -- asking for healing. Or humans pray to God when they lose their jobs or special someone. But sad that when we do not receive what we asked from God, we feel bad and awful.
God answers prayers and He can perfectly grant our desires. God decides for our wishes in a way that will not cause us harm. Remember that we might have dry seasons in our lives, but they are not going to last. And here is the truth:
At times, God answers us immediately. God is accessible to all who seeks Him and answers our prayers in wondrous ways and may move immediately. The more praying we do, the better our lives will be and the deeper our prayers, the more we can be closer to God. Oh, it is so true that prayers reveal a lot of beauty -- more than an answered prayer.
At times, God delays our heart's desire. When we pray, it means revealing our souls desire. Yes, God answers prayers, but he doesn't always answer it our way. Remember that God can respond to us in three ways: yes, no and wait for a while. Hence, we must patiently persevere through the trial of our faiths and with humility accept that the will of God should transpire.
At times, God is silent. Sometimes, we feel that our prayers lack power because God is silent to our prayers. It is like talking to God, but the sky is empty. Remember that we must continue to humble ourselves and pray. It is so vain to expect our prayers to be heard if we do not unceasingly pray. So, we must feel the silence of God, listen to his silence in the depths of our hearts.
I believe the meaning of prayer is to get hold of God and not of the answer. Too often, we communicate to God only when we need something. The truth is that we should humbly pray to God not only in our days of distress but also in the fullness of our joy, and time of our abundance. Let us all be like a child before God, stripped of doubts with total faith and inspiration to God.
