Chito Litam, Civic Merchandising senior vice president for machine sales, told Sun Star Davao that their clients are leading local and multinational firms operating in the country, involved in a range of projects - from land development to building infrastructure such as roads and bridges.
On September 4, 2019, the company, as the official distributor of Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co. (SDLG), launched the mini excavator machines in Davao City at the Rancho Palos Verdes Sports and Country Club.
“We are launching the 12-ton, 8-ton, 6-ton mini excavators. These three models have a market demand of 500 units,” he said adding the event was attended by contractors from Mindanao area.
Litam emphasized that companies engaged in construction and heavy equipment are launching multiples models due to the high demand of the industry.
“We sold around 1,000 units of different heavy equipment in 2018 nationwide, 30 percent of that is from Mindanao,” he said.
Litam also shared that what sets them apart from competitors is its after sales services.
“For us to further penetrate the market, we have to do after sales. Our standard is within 24 hours our team shall respond and go to our clients in a specific area,” Litam said.
