DTI, Go Negosyo mentor Central Luzon entrepreneurs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (Go Negosyo) hosted a mentorship program for entrepreneurs in Central Luzon.

Graduates of the "Kapatid Mentor ME Program" of the DTI attended the "The Money and Market Encounter" learning session at SM City Pampanga on Monday, September 16.

DTI regional chief Judith Angeles said the one-day session for the mentee graduates aims to educate them on the existing financial and market platforms.

During the learning session, banking and other financial institutions presented their latest offering for micro, small and medium enterprises for the "Money" module, while the "Market" module centered on partner institutions that are into digital platforms, the brick and mortar, and cashless payment applications.

Business matching was also done after the learning session where mentee graduates interacted with potential online and offline partners.

Angeles said the "Kapatid Mentor ME" program was developed with the vision of leveling up micro and small entrepreneurs to scale up their businesses through the public private partnership between DTI and Go Negosyo.

With the 10-week mentorship program, mentees are enabled and equipped with knowledge and essential business modules.

Mentee graduates of this program were expected to make a Business Improvement Plan, which will be presented to a panel of business enablers. (With Princess Clea Arcellaz)
