CYL feels vindicated on firm’s audit findings

“GOD is good! His truth vindicates us from malicious lies and rumors. My name and conscience remain clear.”

These are the words of Celina Yanson Lopez (CYL) after her name was cleared by the country’s top auditing firm, Sycip, Gorres and Velayo (SGV), on the missing P380-million fund during her tenure as chief finance officer of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies.

“It’ just so sad to see that my own flesh and blood blamed me for the loss of funds in the Manila Purchasing Office. I have always enjoyed the trust and confidence of my family including my estranged siblings and my beloved mother who knew all the time that I have never been inappropriate about the corporate funds. I will not touch a single centavo of stolen money. Only a person with a malicious mind can think that I will steal from a family owned and controlled corporation, of which I am a legitimate daughter and heir,” CYL said.

CYL swears, “I cannot imagine or find it in my heart to steal from my own family and most especially from my own parents. I was not mentored by my parents to steal and to lie. It is not a secret that I have such a high regard for my father and mother. Even to this very day, my respect for them remains high, including my mother who has already filed to disinherit me.”

The youngest of the Yanson siblings further said, “I believe that I am my father’s daughter. He has taught me values of integrity, honesty, and passion for work that have been inculcated in my soul and being. I have grown up and lived with these values and will die with and for them. These are the same values and work ethics that I teach my sons, hoping that someday, they, too, will become responsible and honest businessmen.”

CYL also emphasized that she continues to pray and hope that truth shall continue to prevail and that the malicious issues that further divide their family will cease.

“These do not only affect me but my family and my beloved children. Even my friends have suffered enough. I thank the Lord for this swift deliverance of justice,” she added. (TDE)
