1Cebu faces Spartans for IBP crown

THE 1Cebu Lex Idols and the Spartans will clash for the championship in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Basketball League 2019 First Conference after they defeated their respective opponents in the semifinals on Sept. 14, 2019 at the Capitol Parish Gym.

The 1Cebu Lex Idols edged the Paneros, 66-64, thanks to the 12 points of Tommy Yu.

The other semifinals encounter saw the Spartans oust the Gilas Defenders, 83-77, behind Charles Divinagracia’s 22 points.

Redemtor Regis also helped out with 19 points of his own while Matt Medalle tallied 16.

Van Ligutan waxed hot from the field for the Defenders with 35 points, but his team ultimately fell short.

The 1Cebu Lex Idols and the Spartans will square off for the title on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m. at the same venue. (JNP)
