Prisaa to hold unit, city meets on Sept. 24-29

THE Davao City Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) Unit Meet 2019, which is a qualifying for the Davao City Athletic Association (DCAA) Meet 2019, will also serve as the city elimination for the Regional Prisaa Meet 2019.

Prisaa Davao City president Ma. Lita Montalban, also the president of Prisaa 11, bared this during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao on Thursday, September 19.

“Giisa na namo ni to minimize costs pero dili tanang events sa Deped-run nga Dcaa Meet apil sa Prisaa unit meet, wala pa miy gymnastics karon (We are holding just one qualifying tournament to minimize costs but not all sports of Deped-run Dcaa Meet will be played in Prisaa unit meet, we still don’t have gymnastics),” she said.

New sports included in the sportsfest for elementary and secondary student athletes, according to her, are billiards and 3x3.

Advance games in most team events will start on September 24 while the opening rites at Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Petro Gazz Arena is set on September 27. Semifinals is slated September 28 and championship games is on September 29.

A cheering competition for elementary division will usher in the opening ceremony.

At present, Prisaa has 18 members with Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MCM) as the newest participants.

The other members are Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP), Apo Learning Village, Emar Human and Environmental College, Davao Doctors College, Jose Maria College, Independent Liberty Baptist Academy, Mindanao Christian Foundation College and Seminary, University of Mindanao (UM) Main, Southern Philippines Baptist Theological Seminary, The Abbas Orchard School, Holy Spirit Academy of Calinan, St. Francis Xavier, St. Francis College, UM Ilang, Good Soil Academy, RMC and AMA Computer College.
