TWO motorcycle-riding gunmen took their dinner in a canteen in Lawaan, Eastern Samar before shooting one of the canteen owners Wednesday, September 18.
Police identified the fatality as Marvin Tiozon, whose wife, Jeaneth, 53, was wounded. Both are residents of Barangay 9 in Lawaan town.
The husband was killed on the spot, while his wife was rushed to a hospital after she was hit in her left arm.
Initial investigation revealed that while the victims were manning their canteen (tapsilogan), the gunmen arrived and took their meal before shooting the couple around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The gunmen fled after the incident.
