CNGP Cebu to hold annual convention

THE Catholic Nurses Guild of the Philippines (CNGP)-Cebu Chapter will hold its eighth Annual Local Convention at Cebu Normal University’s Tandang Sora Hall in Cebu City on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019.

The convention carries the theme “Nurses in Today’s Environment: Affirming Commitment.”

Fr. Dan Domingo de los Angeles, a professor under the Archdiocese of Cebu, is the keynote speaker; he will expound the event’s theme.

The whole-day affair is expected to attract some 200 registrants from different government and private institutions, colleges of nursing and private practitioners in the cities and province of Cebu.

Aside from de los Angeles, Dr. Daisy Palompon, Dr. Delia Z. Mediano and Dr. Helen C. Estrella will also speak.

The topics are “Issues confronting the Nurses in the Workplace” by Palompon; “Commitment: The Challenges to Nurses” by Mediano; and “Strategies to Strengthen Commitment” by Estrella.

This convention is applied for eight continuing education units.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 8 a.m. on Friday. The convention fee is P800 for registered nurses and P500 for senior nursing students.

This activity is in cooperation with the Philippine Nurses Association-Cebu Chapter.
