PRO 7's advisory council holds 2nd summit

THE Regional Advisory Council (RAC) 7 for Police Transformation and Development of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 is set to hold its second Regional Advisory Summit on Sept. 19-20, 2019.

The event will be at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu on Archbishop Reyes Ave. in Cebu City.

RAC 7 chairman Prudencio Gesta said the second summit carries the theme “The Tri-Dimensional Collaboration Towards PNP Institutionalization and Beyond.”

The summit, chaired by businessman and RAC 7 member Eric Mendoza, will be attended by members of the advisory councils of various police units in Central Visayas.

Among the invited speakers in the summit are P/Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, the PRO 7 director, and P/Lt. Gen. Camilo Oancratius O. Cascolan, chairman of the technical working group for PNP Patrol (Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and upholding of the Rule Of Law) Plan 2030.

The other speakers in the summit are P/Brig. Gen. Sterling Raymundo P. Blanco, Center for Police Strategy Management director, who will speak about the Top to Bottom Institutionalization program of the Philippine National Police; and P/Maj. Gen. Noel A. Baraceros (retired), former director of Center for Police Strategy Management Transformation.

On Sept. 19, the PRO 7 celebrated the 118th Police Service Anniversary at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu, with the theme “Pinaghusay na Serbisyo, Alay sa Sambayanang Pilipino (Enhanced Service for the Filipino Society).”

Lawyer Rogelio T. Casurao, vice chairman and executive officer of the National Police Commission, was the guest of honor and speaker in this event.
