ELDDIE Cabahug continued his remarkable string of incredible performances as he led the 2005-Bizol to a thrilling 66-61 victory over the 2000-Core Pacific in Division B of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Athletic Association (Shaabaa) Cebu Landmasters Cup on Sept. 18, 2019 at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along General Maxilom Avenue.
Cabahug, who is the son of former PBA great Elmer Cabahug, racked up 32 points, four rebounds and two steals.
More importantly, it was his three-pointer with 14 seconds remaining that sealed the win for Batch 2005.
Batch 2000 pulled to a single point, 61-62, as Dave Ting made two free-throws with 26 seconds remaining.
However, Cabahug all but shut the door on the opponent as he canned a triple from the corner to raise their lead to four, 65-61, time down to 14 ticks.
Aaron Uy added 13 points, while Antonio Datan almost had a double-double with 12 markers and eight boards.
Meanwhile in Division C, the 2013-iPak/Roble Shipping pulverized the 2010-Casino Ethyl Alcohol, 67-51.
Nikki Pimentel led 2013’s assault with 22 points and six rebounds while JJ Ong chipped in 11. (JNP)
