LAWMEN have seized firearms and illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation that resulted in the arrest of a notorious drug personality in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Friday, September 20.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Noel Estoconing, 35, who has been listed as the "Top 2 priority target on illegal drugs."
Galvez said Estoconing was arrested in a drug bust around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, in Block 3 in the village of Tambanan, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Seized from the suspect were P20,000 worth of shabu packed in 17 heat-sealed plastic sachets, P500 marked money, a caliber .45 pistol, a caliber .380 automatic pistol, ammunition, two mobile phones, and other paraphernalia.
Galvez said the suspect was detained while formal charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Philippines)
