WELCOME to the second year of the Baguio Creative Festival this 2019, Baguio City as a UNESCO designated City for crafts and folk art since 2017!

As we launch the Ibagiw festival, we brace ourselves this coming November 16 to 24 to celebrate us in the beautiful City of Pines!

We celebrate our culture, tradition and moreover we foster innovation and creativity!

Baguio, being a fertile soil of great minds, will showcase simultaneous sights of music (Jamming on a G-String), fashion (a runway show with an enchanting backdrop of nature), photography (Uring Manlilikha), art installations and exhibits (Barrel Man 2.0), and a fair of art pieces and crafts (the Baguio City Creative Marketplace).

Meet creative professionals in events documentation, management and multimedia production too.

All these happening at the Heritage Hill and Nature Park (Diplomat Hotel).

Meanwhile, the whole of Baguio will be festive with murals and graffiti’s at Session Road as a big art gallery in “Post no Bill”. Classical and indigenous music in a forest trail, while buskers, musicians, dancers, poets and performing artists shall bring more life to the city in streets, parks and other open spaces.

Congratulations to the organizers from both the local government and the private sector composed of artists, artisans and players of the creative economy!

As Baguio Arts and Crafts Collective Inc. (BACCI) President Adelaida Lim said, “We are now members of an international community of cities. As such, we have a leadership role to play that involve an honor and a responsibility. I trust that we will, with the cooperation of all sectors in the city, rise up to the challenge with imagination, make the world a better place. We have the talent, we have the skill and we have the culture to make it happen both locally and also internationally.”

This is our event. Together, let us make it happen! And in parting, we dream that we may live to see gondolas at the Bued River!

Calling on participants for the wood carving, textile weaving, basketry and metal craft competition that will be the festival’s main event in “Made in Baguio”.
