2 hurt in stabbing

TWO persons were injured in separate stabbing incidents in Bacolod City during the weekend.

Police identified the victims as Ronel Diopeta, 30, of Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata, and John Eric Boroc, 28, a tricycle driver and resident of Purok Bigay Bahay, Barangay Mansilingan.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Polive Office (BCPO), said Diopeta was talking to alias "Suli" in Purok Masinadyahon around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21.

He said a heated argument ensued between them when Suli took a bladed weapon and attacked the victim.

The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) while the suspect fled.

The Police Station 3 is still conducting further investigation to arrest the suspect.

As with the other victim, Pico said Boroc was also standing along Las Palmas Subdivision when an unidentified suspect approached him and stabbed him several times using a bladed weapon around 7 p.m. Saturday.

The victim sustained multiple wounds and was brought to the CLMMRH, while the suspect fled.

Police Station 6 is still conducting further investigation to identify and arrest the suspect.
