THINK of any significant event and for sure, it will be held at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. Of course, it would depend where you are coming from, but the hotel is one of the easiest places to reach. In my case, it means less traffic, wider roads, spacious parking space and, most of all, its wholesome ambiance. Its very warm management and staff would always make you feel “special, part of the family!” All these trace back to Darrell Conine (Cebu Plaza days), Hans Hauri and onward. Other convenient places for most of us are Radisson Blu Cebu, Montebello Villa Hotel, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, and Seda Hotel Ayala Center Cebu.

This September is a very busy month for Marco Polo: Sept. 10 - “La Dolce Vita;” Sept. 13 - “Sabores de España;” Sept. 20 - Marco Polo Hotels - Hong Kong dinner; and Sept. 27 - The People’s Republic of China anniversary celebration. More to come for the yuletide season!

Meanwhile:

Golden Prince Hotel and Suites will host an anniversary dinner on Sept. 27.

The Swedish Embassy had a fabulous fashion revolution exhibit with Ambassador Harald Fries at The Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.

Citadines Cebu City recently had its soft opening. It is the first Ascott property in the Visayas and Mindanao.
