MAGIKLAND, the first outdoor theme park in the Visayas will launch a soft opening for the public starting Friday, September 27.

Magikland sits at the center of the 24-hectare property development of the Aton Land and Leisure Inc. in Sitio Cabug, Barangay Guinhalaran in Silay City. The property development includes the 13.5 hectare Aton Land Tourism Zone, where Magikland is located as well as a commercial and lifestyle center and residential estates.

Aton Land and Leisure Inc. president Reynaldo Bantug has announced that the Magikland soft opening dates include September 27, 28 and 29; October 4, 5 and 6, and October 11,12 and 13. The Park will open from 11 am to 8:30 pm.

Park rates for the soft opening are P280 per person for entrance plus one free ride in the carousel and all park shows; and P520 per person for entrance and unlimited rides in all the 12 rides and all shows.

Brand new and world class children, family and thrill rides await Magikland visitors. The park’s mystical zone will feature the crazy trail twister coaster, family swinger, disk’o, and the 27 meters high sky tower for thrill-seekers. The magical area will have the crazy surf, magic bike, happy swing, trackless train, Mt. Kanlaon canoe ride for kids, and the bumper cars.

Offering a scenic view of Silay City and beyond is the 25-meters high ferris wheel, the tallest in Western Visayas.

At the heart of the park is the colorful carousel or merry-go-round with hand-painted horses and a themed crown that will welcome visitors to the cultural zone.

The food court and kiosks will also be open for the soft opening.

Magikland mascot, Bakunawa , the mythical moon-eating dragon and the Magikland heroes are all geared up to welcome visitors.

Entertainment shows featuring Negrense talents are also being prepared.

The theming of the park is based on local folklore and legend.

Being readied for the grand opening are the edu-tainment laboratory, a cultural gallery, coffee shops and restaurants featuring Negrense cuisine and delicacies, exhibits, retail and merchandise shops.

Bantug in a media preview in July this year said the park will catalyze tourism in Negros Occidental and provide quality jobs and livelihood opportunities starting from the construction phase until its full operations when employment of more than 300 locals are projected.
