ARIEL Edera did it all for the Kyocera Frontiers as he had a triple-double to lead his team to an 86-41 routing of the Iploy Barracudas in the Evo League division of the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.
Edera, long-time star of Kyocera, piled up 16 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and five steals to lead the Frontiers to their sixth win in seven games, and tie the idle Contact Solutions for the lead in the standings.
In other Evo League games, Tommy Ugsimar came up with 34 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists to lead the Dynata Warriors to an 85-74 thumping of the Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties.
Dynata’s win created a three-way logjam at third to fifth spots as Tech Mahindra and the Optum Knights also tote similar 6-2 (win-loss) records.
In other games, Demand Science (2-6) blasted Cognizant (1-6), as Francis Manzanares had a double-double of 27 points and 11 assists while Jeffer Ardiente added 20 markers and eight boards.
The Results Newtown (3-4) also kept the CTC-BPO winless, 68-53, thanks to Kim Luzano’s 26 points while Dyninno (4-3) got the best of Medspecialized (2-6), 73-61, with Rainier Obenza and King Olbes putting up 16 and 12 points, respectively. (JNP)
