Suspected killers of transgender woman surrender

THE two suspects in the killing of a transgender woman in Pangasinan have surrendered, a police official said on Wednesday, September 25.

Pangasinan City Police Chief Redrico Maranan said Isagani Dollaga and Michael Orpano surrendered to his office on Monday afternoon, September 23, and admitted to killing Jestoni Remiendo.

They were turned over to the Bolinao police station and charged with murder.

Remiendo, 29, was found dead in a resort in Barangay Patar on Tuesday, September 17.

She was stabbed in the neck and near the right eye.

Police earlier said the two suspects were the last persons to see the victim before she was found dead.

Text messages between the suspects and the victim were found in Remiendo’s cellphone. (SunStar Philippines)
