EDMUND Cambaliza struck for a total of 630 pinfalls after three games to emerge Datba weekly champion at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center Tuesday evening, September 24, in Lanang, Davao City.
Arthur John Galendez baged the runner-up honors after hitting 623 pinfalls in the bowlfest organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) as qualifying for the monthly finals.
Cambaliza and Galendez took home cash prizes of P900 and P500, respectively.
Art Galendez came third, rolling 614 pins, in the tournament that drew a total of 15 players.
Meanwhile, Rod Tongo topped the Datba Weekly Tournament held Saturday evening, September 21. He garnered 597 pinfalls after three games while Cambaliza scored 571 to finish second and Joshua Disuacido made 560 for third.
In the Desperados Tournament also held September 21, Arthur Galendez amassed 1,123 pinfalls after six games to clinch the title over Crystal Chavez (1,118) and Virgilio Magdale (1,112) who grabbed the next two spots.
Weekly games will resume on Saturday. (MLSA)
