Pangan: Development plans for Magalang

INCLUDED in the Agropolis feature of the Pampanga Megalopolis plan is the agriculture-driven cluster of Lubao, Guagua, Sta. Rita, Bacolor, San Luis, San Simon, Apalit, Sto. Tomas, Sta. Ana and Magalang.

Sometime ago, I wrote about the prospects of this ambitious and grand plan Megalopolis plan which, if ever it will be implemented, will significantly overhaul the landscape of Pampanga.

Along with the Agropolis are: Aetropolis, consisting of the airport-driven cluster of Angeles, San Fernando and Angeles cities and Mexico; Aquapolis or the water-driven cluster of Sasmuan, Macabebe, Minalin, Masantol and again, Lubao; and the Ecopolis or the ecology-driven cluster of Arayat, Candaba, Floridablanca and Porac.

Development needed for each of these metropolitan clusters had been identified and would be implemented in due time.

Development plans for the town of Magalang are cited in the Central Luzon Regional Development Plan for the period 2017-2022 prepared by the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda). If these push through, the town will immensely benefit, along with the already prosperous neighbors.

Paging Mr. Ocampo of the Municipal Planning and Development Office of Magalang.

It would be advisable for your office to closely coordinate with the provincial counterpart regarding the Megalopolis Plan so that you can access info and data for your town, recommend plans coming from your office and implement whatever is current and applicable for the town of Magalang.

Your move, Mr. Ocampo, please.

I have been honored with the presence (as my guests) on September 21, 2019 to observe my birthday. The Fiesta homeowners association directors and officers Kaye Rozel Hernandez, president, Rod Mones, vice president, Aidez dela Cruz, secretary and hubby Manny, Marydoll Corilla, treasurer and daugther, Angie Isais, auditor, Gab Baynado and wife, HOA Comelec officer and staff Gayle Allanic Calumpiano and the partner of BOD Jenny Gulayan were present in the activity.

All had fun savoring the prepared meals by wifey Josie and Tei and singing ensued till a little past ten in the evening.

I extend my suffuse thanks to SM City Clark's Pau and Jean and SM's VP Junias Eusebio and friend, SM SVP Bien C. Mateo for the delectable lechon (free of the dreaded ASF, of course). To all of you, maraming maraming salamat.
