Chicken adobo for the family

DURING lazy days, my husband would always (take note: always) suggest to cook chicken adobo. He feels like he is in cloud 9 whenever we serve this Filipino dish. Two reasons— he loves chicken and adobo is his favorite. Who doesn’t love chicken adobo though?

I learned how to cook adobo when I was still in highschool. I observed how my cousin, who is years older than me, would prepare it for us. It was uncomplicated and very easy. With just less than 10 ingredients that are put together, food is served.

I was able to taste the chicken adobo at Dusit Thani Residence Davao during the launching of Wellmade Manufacturing Corporation‘s Select Soy Sauce and Sukang Puti. I learned that the chicken adobo that was presented to us was cooked with Select products. They followed celebrity Chef Boy Logro’s ingredients and procedure.

It’s a new player in the market which claims that “the Select Soy Sauce has the right degree of saltiness with a hint of sweetness, while the Select Vinegar has that fresh, lightly salted taste to it.”

As a modern Filipino mom, I love experimenting and trying out traditional dishes making them “instagrammable.” The food must be enticing not only to the eyes of our family but to our online friends, too! LOL! Kidding aside, of course, it must be prepared from the heart. In tagalog, “bubusogin ang pamilya sa pagmamahal.”
