Vicente: Arnis for Baguio 110th Charter

EVERY year is an opportunity to come together in fellowship and promote our Philippine National Martial Arts Arnis as all roads leads to Baguio City for the “110th Baguio Day Charter National Arnis Championships 2019 set to unfold on September 28 and 29 at the Saint Vincent Gym.

Tribal Clan Martial Arts System spearheads the activity under the City Government of Baguio, Baguio City Sports and Baguio City Tourism office, recognized and endorsed by the Arnis Pederasyon Internasyonal and Unified Arnis Alliance.

With the theme “Sining Pilipino, Galing Pilipino,” the event will usher participants coming from different places aside from Baguio and Benguet.

The event, is a way of promoting Baguio as a sports haven and backed by Baguio Central School, Kalahi FMA Gears, Australasian Defendo Kombat Academy of Australia, The Legacy Shed and Tony Group of Companies, Dunkin Donuts Baguio, Balbacua, Al Bon Likigan of Tribal Clan Abu dhabi Magtagay group, and Councilor Michael Lawana.

Everyone is invited to witness the momentous event as arnisadores showcase their skill and honor arnis as a true Filipino cultural and traditional heritage.

The event will showcase the usual anyo (creative forms), labanan (full contact sparring) for players as young as nine years old for men and women, boys and girls.

Over-all champion will be up for grabs for juniors division aged 9 to 17 years old and seniors Division (18 and above) based on the individual medal count in anyo and labanan.
