THE Cebu Auto Show (CAS) was first introduced in the Visayas back in 2007 when the automotive sector in the island flourished. The show is without a doubt today’s most prestigious auto event in the region where industry moguls and car aficionados gather for a firsthand look at the latest trends, freshest releases and newest parts and supplies from the global automotive world.
CAS was back on its 12th edition on Sept. 13 to 15 at the Sky Hall of SM Seaside City Cebu with the theme: Experience the Fun and Function.
Show attendees were treated to an exhibition from top brands that showcased their products and service innovations with the latest functional features. Among the established exhibitors at the automotive trade show were car brands like Chevrolet, Morris Garages (MG) and Nissan.
Founding chairman of Worldbex Services International Joseph Ang promised in his welcome speech at the opening last Sept. 13 that the series of events prepared for CAS are insightful as much as they are entertaining.
The three-day auto show proved to be the Queen City’s premier motoring event with pocket events and activities that catered both to the industry professionals and enthusiasts as the show remained true to its theme.
The event highlights at CAS 2019 included the RC Drift Challenge where Philippine RC Drifters participated in various activities and demonstrations.
The Custom and Classic Car Competition also drew attention among enthusiasts where participants competed in 21 different categories such as Best Model, Best Race-Inspired, Best in Show, Best in Engine and Best in Body Kit.
Another featured event for car lovers was the Diecast Car Model Swap Meet that was in partnership with the Cebu Diecast Car Collectors where diecast collectors gathered and showcased their car collectibles.
Motorbikes were also on display at the event from popular brands like Honda and Kawaski for motorbike owners and enthusiasts. Show attendees were given an extensive selection of car parts and accessories such as car tints, dynastic dashcams, air refreshers, tires, mag wheels and a whole lot of premium items that were sold during the event.
The large-scale display of products and impressive event features at this year’s CAS truly made it one of the biggest and most anticipated auto shows of the year.
