CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- At least 81 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon donated 40,000 cc of blood to Jose B. Lingad Regional Hospital.
The bloodletting program is in line with the observance of the National Peace Consciousness Month, said Police Lieutenant Colonel Donato Bait, chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division.
The activity was held on Thursday, September 26, at PRO-Central Luzon PANA hall, here. PRO-Central Luzon has been an active partner in the voluntary blood donation program of the different health institutions.
In an interview, Brigadier General Joel Napoleon Coronel, PRO-Central Luzon director, said that the activity aims to raise the consciousness of every PNP personnel to do a very noble and heroic act not only in doing their jobs rightfully but also through blood donation in order to save the lives of other people.
