TO SUM up my talk on photojournalism, I and the 13 participants from the Petroglyphs, San Pedro Colleges’ official school publication, ventured into where most of them have never been to - inside Isla Verde in Barangay 23-C, Davao City.
The activity was held last September 7, 2019 during the participants’ one-day workshop with SunStar Davao and other notable speakers.
With the idea of going away with the picture of poverty in the area, the participants were asked to shoot and immerse with the people and to capture the daily life of the residents inside Isla Verde with only an hour to capture five photos.
