VALLADOLID town Mayor Enrique Miravalles won as the new president of the League of Municipalities in the Philippines (LMP)-Negros Occidental chapter in elections held Friday, September 27.
Miravalles who belongs to Love Negros won over San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara of United Negros Alliance by a close 10-9 vote.
Winning as LMP vice president is Murcia Mayor Jerry Rojas who won over DSB Mayor Marxlen Dela Cruz via a toss coin.
Also elected secretary was La Castellana Mayor Rhumayla Manguilimutan, Treasurer is Manapla’s Mayor Manolet Escalante, Auditor is Toboso’s Mayor Richard Jaojoco sang Toboso while the Public Relations Officer is Cauyan’s Mayor John Rey Tabujara.
Town mayors who were not elected were appointed as members of the Board of Directors.
Miravalles is a members of Love Negros while Tubillara is from the United Negros Alliance. (TDE)
