A 31-YEAR-OLD tricycle driver was arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Barangay Poblacion, Pinamungajan, Cebu, Saturday morning, September 28, 2019.
The Pinamungajan police nabbed a certain Rigie Pacunla, a resident of Sitio Sambagon, Barangay Busay, Pinamungajan, Cebu after a concerned citizen informed them at around 12:45 a.m. that Pacunla allegedly brandished a .357 caliber revolver in a bus terminal in Pinamungajan.
Police Major Felicisimo Aranas, Jr. of Pinamungajan Police Station said Pacunla failed to present any legal documents to own and possess the said firearm.
He also yielded five pieces live ammos of .357 loaded inside its cylinder and a black leather holster.
He will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. (WBS)
