FILIPINOS working and living in Australia continue to rise. It has become a second home for many Filipinos and the reasons are varied.

According to the latest data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Filipino population in Australia has increased from 252,700 in 2016 to 278,000 in 2018.

At present, Filipinos account 1.1 percent of Australia’s total population.

And the numbers continue to grow.

With this, a consultancy firm was opened here in Davao City to cater the increasing demand of Filipinos want to study, work, and live in Australia - Yale Migration and Education Consultants – Davao.

Florame Espada of Yale Migration and Education Consultants – Davao shared their company goes beyond providing visa assistance to those people who want to study and migrate to Australia.

“We are not only providing student visa but we are also helping students to process their permanent residency in Australia,” she said.

She added that among the top and in demand jobs in Australia these days are for pre-school teachers.

“Childcare in Australia is a booming industry and its demand is high, as their roles are essential in developing and managing the educational and recreational activities of young children. Jobs within this industry are predicted to be available all over in Australia and for those who love playing and being with children, this is their best career path to permanent residency,” Espada said.

Yale Migration and Education Consultants main office is based in Brisbane, Australia. It also has other branches located in India and Ilocos.

“We are also accredited by the Australia government and we have a group of Filipinos based there who will help the students when they arrived in Australia,” she said.

The company also provides free Australian visa orientation about the Student Visa Program. The next session is set on Saturday afternoon, October 05, at the ground floor, Door 7, Building 2 ATU Plaza, Gov. Duterte St., Davao City.

“The program is applicable to all Kto12 graduates, Tesda-Vocational Graduate, College undergraduates, Graduates of any course, professionals and businessmen,” Espada said.
