MATANAO, Davao del Sur -- Residents here are confirming that former Kabus Padatoon (Kapa) Community Ministry International Inc., now Kapa Worldwide Association, has re-opened its office here since last week.

According to one Marites (requested her identity to be withheld), several people already came to its office and allegedly paid in at least P5,000.

One alias Gingging of Barangay Clarin in Bansalan, said her neighbor also gave an amount as her pay in.

However, when the group's management sensed that the authorities were already aware of their operations, they closed the office immediately.

With this, those who have already handed out their pay ins have become worried that their money will not be returned to them anymore.

It can be recalled that the re-opening of Kapa in Digos City pushed the members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to arrest Board Member Arvin "Jun Blanco" Malasa, who is reportedly the one leading its reoperation, along with its staff and the staff of Muews Radio Digos, owned by Malasa.

Malasa, however, firmly denied the NBI's accusation saying that it is not true that Kapa is operating again.

However, several sets of evidence pointed to Malasa's link to Kapa's reoperation which the authorities have used as basis to file syndicated large-scale estafa against him along with the others arrested.
