THE undermanned 2009 Legacy pulled off a stunner of a win as they took down the 2008 Flyboys, 68-66, in Division 3 of the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Club 2019 Cebu City Mayor’s Cup on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019 at the USC North Campus gym.
Former USC Warriors wingman Dominic Adlawan led the charge for the Legacy as he compiled 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block to hand the Flyboys their second straight loss.
In the other Division 3 game, the 2010 Pioneers prevailed over the 2007 Waybus, 55-39, as Julius Asotigue had 20 points and six rebounds.
In the Seniors division, the 1986 Siargao crushed the 1982 Golden Warriors, 100-61, thanks to Arturo Mata’s triple-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists to go with a steal and a blocked shot.
The 1988 Barakos also vanquished the 1990 Titans, 66-61, with Dindo Sausa presiding over the winning effort with his 23 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks. (JNP)
