THE Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs remained ahead of the field after it drubbed the Dyninno Jets, 78-68, in the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
Contact Solutions, which quickly bounced back from a 60-65 loss to Optum the other week, relied on the all-around performance of Joey Juntilla, who got 20 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Tailing the Flying Lemurs in the standings are the Optum Knights and the Dynata Warriors, which moved up to 7-2 (win-loss) in the rankings after logging in victories over the weekend.
The Knights nipped the Medspecialized Unicorns, 79-51, while the Warriors defeated the CTC-BPO Panthers, 57-34. Melvin Campecino fired 18 points, while Nicole Sultan chipped in 14 as the Knights secured a second straight win.
Meanwhile, the Warriors got huge numbers from Tommy Ugsimar, who piled up 21 points, six boards, four assists, three steals and a block to help Dynata extend its winning streak to three games.
The Executive Boutique/Select Voicecom Bulldogs, meanwhile, picked up their fourth straight win with a 95-42 thrashing of the Iploy Barracudas. Aristotle Alcos piled up 27 points, 11 assists, three steals and three rebounds, Ricky Espanueva tallied 14 markers, while Yvess Suan had 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and a steal as the trio buoyed the Bulldogs to their sixth win in nine games.
In other games, Results Mactan Newtown (4-4) beat Demand Science (2-7), 74-66, while Shearwater (3-6) upended Author Solutions Philippines Inc. (4-4), 73-67. (JNP)
