Metro Manila drug queen hiding in US

NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Guillermo Eleazar said on Tuesday, October 1, that the alleged “drug queen” of Metro Manila, Guia Castro, is now in the United States.

Eleazar said based on their monitoring, Castro left the country for Bangkok on September 21. From Bangkok, she flew to Taiwan and then to Los Angeles in the United States on September 25.

“She left the country on September 21. That was two or three days during a hearing at the Senate that her name was mentioned. During that time, her name was not mentioned yet. But everybody knows, even she alam niya siya yung tinutukoy kaya nga umiktad siya,” Eleazar said.

On September 19, during a Senate hearing, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director Aaron Aquino revealed that ninja cops have continued to recycle seized illegal drugs.

He said these ninja cops sell the illegal drugs that they seized during anti-drug operations to the said drug queen.

The identification of the drug queen as well as the ninja cops linked to her prompted Eleazar to create a quad intelligence force that will go after drug syndicates operating in Metro Manila.

Eleazar said the quad intelligence force is now coordinating with their foreign counterparts on appropriate actions particularly against Castro, such as the cancellation of her passport and visa as well as extradition. (SunStar Philippines)
