A 22-YEAR-OLD student was arrested in a joint drug bust in Maasin City, Southern Leyte on Tuesday, October 1.
Police identified the suspect as Ariane Zarco, a newly identified pusher and resident of Hilongos, Leyte.
The Maasin City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Master Sergeant Jonathan Gaviola under the direct supervision of Lieutenant Mark Nalda, officer-in-charge, and the Southern Leyte Police Drug Enforcement Unit, led by Lieutenant Wilfredo Camaso Jr., in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Eastern Visayas conducted the operation around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Badiang, Maasin City.
Purchased from the suspect was one heat-sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, said police
Confiscated from Zarco's possession were a P1,000 that was used as drug bust money, three sachets of shabu, one black Samsung cellphone, one black sling bag, and P231 cash. (SunStar Philippines)
