P45,000 shabu seized in Barangay 35

AN ESTIMATED P45,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station 1 on 4th Road, Purok Maabi-abihon Alunan-Yulo, Barangay 35, Bacolod City Wednesday, October 2.

The operation also led to the arrest of Jazel Villamor, 31, of Henrietta Village Subdivision, Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said Villamor was arrested after she sold a sachet of shabu to a police under cover around 12:15 a.m.

Police recovered from Villamor's possession three sachets of shabu, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Sedel said Villamor was identified as street level target and was under surveillance for almost a month before her arrest.

He said Villamor has a supplier in Bacolod, but she refused to divulge further information.

He added that Villamor's husband is currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology for illegal drugs.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
