THE dead man who was found dumped along the roadside in the Transcentral Highway in Sitio Tupas in the mountain barangay of Taptap, Cebu City on Friday morning, December 2, 2022, has been identified.

Major Alvin Llamedo, chief of the Talamban Police Station, said the victim was 45-year-old William Orger Guinocor, a resident of Sitio Fatima, Barangay Apas in the same city.

Llamedo said they are still trying to identify the persons responsible for killing Guinocor.

“Based on our follow-up investigation, the victim is a shabu user. So we’re looking at drugs as a possible motive for his death, but that doesn’t mean we won’t look at other angles,” he said in Cebuano.

When Guinocor’s body was discovered, his hands and feet were tied and his head was wrapped in a small, red sack.

Police believed that he was a “salvage” victim. (BBT)
