Cuello takes on Espinas in Parañaque

FORMER world title challenger Denver Cuello takes on his stiffest opponent since coming back from a long layoff as he takes on former world-ranked Jessie Espinas in a 10-rounder in the main event of “Night of Champions XIX” on Oct. 12, 2019 in Paranaque City.

After one fight in the middle of 2015, the 32-year-old Cuello took a three-year hiatus and returned to the ring in 2019. Cuello is known for his wins over Ganigan Lopez and Muhammad Rachman.

He challenged then World Boxing Council (WBC) minimumweight champion Chao Zhong Xiong in 2013 but lost by a controversial majority decision.

Cuello is 38-5-6 with 26 knockouts, while Espinas is 19-4 with 11 knockouts. EKA
