THE Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc., the country’s first Hall of Fame Most Outstanding Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting the 19th Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) in September.
Signaling the start of this year’s MinBizCon preparations is the formal launching on March 11, to be done simultaneous with the Chamber’s 1st General Membership Meeting.
The MinBizCon is the biggest annual gathering of Mindanao business and industry leaders, chief executives of different national and local government units, government organizations as well as non-government organizations to address several issues and concerns affecting the island’s socio-economic conditions.
Key officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM-USAid) and the Oro Chamber will also be holding a Steering Committee Meeting on the same date to firm up the activities of this year’s big event.
The launching would be attended by Ambassador Francis Chua, PCCI president and Special Envoy on Trade and Investment to China along with other dignitaries.
This year’s MinBizCon carries the theme: “One. Global. Mindanao. Maximizing Potentials” which hopes to remind the people that though Mindanao has come a long way, there’s still more to be done and to continue to work together as one in championing the best products and services of each region in the island.
