Si SBP-Davao operations head Ronel Leuterio, Huwebes, atol sa Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum sa The Annex sa SM City Davao, nagkanayon nga ang inter-barangay eliminations sa out-of-school youth niadtong Martes, diin may top two teams nga miabante sa regional finals, maghatag higayon sa tim nga makumpleto ang ilang kasinatian nga makigtigi sa pribado ug publikong team.
"When are you going to give them the opportunity if we are not going to start it. Now that we have started it, the barangays will look forward to it every year. They will now have one year preparation and can get better and better to compete with the rest of the school-based teams. Maybe, they will also get chance to be given scholarships since coaches will be around," sigun ni Leuterio, dungan sa pagsulti nga 32 ka tims ang sa boys division ug 16 sa girls event alang sa 18 years old and below nga magduduwa.
Si Barangay 10-A coach Armando Amancio, sa iyang parte, nagsulti nga ang liga, "excellent venue for OSY to be given a break to show their respective talents in basketball."
Ang iyang tim gilangkuban nila Joemarie dela Cruz, Vincent Troyo, John Renan ug Mark Baguio, miguwang kampeyon human gipildi ang Maa niadtong Martes, Oktubre 1, sa inter-barangay eliminations.
Si Coach Dennis Bague sa girls champion team Barangay 76-A, nagsulti nga ang magduduwa angay mokat-on sa teamwork ug ihatag ang ilang kusog sa matag duwa.
Gipasabot niya mao sila Leonella Javier, Mary Jane Ortega, Joanne Arab ug Chady Bucao.
Si Coach Dennis Lumayag sa girls runner-up Barangay Sto. Niño team, nagsulti, "Maenjoy lang nila ang game, show sportsmanship. Nalipay na among barangay makita sila na makasulod sa regional finals."
Luyo sa mga tims gikan Davao City, duna say gikan Agusan Sur National High School, SCT-Agusan Sur, Caraga, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur ug Santo Tomas ug Mati City nga makigtigi sa liga.
Ang regional boys and girls champions moabante sa national SBP 3x3 karong Oktubre 28 ngadto 29 sa Manila.
