A NEW indoor theme park for kids just opened in Mactan, Cebu—elevating the resort experience for children.
Pororo Park opened its winter-y doors to the public just last month, on the 21st afternoon of September, at Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark. The park is based off a Korean animated cartoon called “Pororo the Little Penguin” and has two floors of amazing things for kids to enjoy.
Here’s a list of five fun things to do at Pororo Park, Cebu.
1. Slide into ball pits or down to the first floor. The park has quite a number of slides, but the two highlights would have to be a wide slide that ends with a splash into a ball pit and another one with a stomach-fluttering dive that brings visitors from the second floor down to the first. As for the smaller children, there are mini playground slides to enjoy as well.
2. Bounce on trampolines. What child doesn’t enjoy bouncing on things? Luckily, Pororo Park has a padded trampoline area that is big enough for kids to jump around on and satisfy that longing for flight. If not, they also have the option to run and play in the jungle gyms on the first and second floor.
3. Immerse in the playful side of technology and digital attractions. Everything from a 4D rider to a digital sketch zone—the park is definitely not short of technological advancements. There’s a racing game that allows park-goers to compete with each other on an interactive floor while the Digital Sketch room brings little doodles to life in an “Under the Sea” digital installation.
4. Hop on the rides. There are two rides on the second floor of Jpark’s Pororo Park. Visitors have the option to ride pretty horses on “Patty’s Merry-go-round” or go for the little thrill of riding “Eddie’s Sliding Car”. And, if they opt to, why not do both?
5. Grab a snack. When the little ones and their guardians get hungry after a long day of playing, don’t fret! There’s always the option to take a small break in “Loopy’s House”, where they can buy refreshments—like snacks and drinks—to help charge themselves up for another round of fun and games.
With over 20 different interactive attractions for kids in the two-floor area, Pororo Park is definitely one of the newest highlights for a fun experience in Mactan. Other things guests can look forward to are an arcade on the first floor and the Pororo-themed rooms on certain floors—perfect for a bright, playful and comfortable stay with their kids. Each room has its own colorful character beds, mini-attractions (like a private slide and ball pit) and a cartoon aesthetic that’s there as soon as one steps out of the elevator.
