Solon: Are you happy with your health?

WE CAN all make our health better, that’s for sure. But I think, we all have to get to the point where we are happy with our health. This is a question I often ask myself as it is something that I’ve struggled with in the past years.

Health is a journey and mine took some turns. Fortunately in the past three months, I’ve been able to control my health. Medical checks are essential as this gives us objective data where we can improve. Although mine has always been good, I was more concerned about “subjective” measures of my health.

So are you happy with your health? I asked myself these questions and encourage you to answer these as well:

1. Do you wake up feeling refreshed and rested?

2. Are you able to sleep well every night?

3. Do you sleep and wake at the same time each day?

4. Are you often grumpy and irritable due to stress?

5. Can I fall asleep within 30 minutes of lying down?

6. How often am I getting sick?

7. Do I get more energy from the food I eat? Or do I crash after eating?

8. How often am I cheating with my eating?

9. Am I making good and sound food choices?

10. Do I need alcohol to get me to sleep?

11. Is my overall fitness good?

The only way we can take control of our health is to know where we are to strategize how to improve our health.
