IT WAS an exciting weekend of Limitless Event and Catering Services (Limitless) as it marked its third year offering quality and affordable food to Dabawenyos.
On September 21, 2019, Limitless organized a back to back event, "Cook with the Chefs" and soft opening of G Lounge by Limitless.
“Cook with the chefs” was about featuring some of the city's top chefs and a celebrity chef to teach young chefs some new recipes. The event is also for the benefit of the Children's Joy Foundation.
"It is an exciting year for us as we invite our Limitless Chef consultant and Celebrity Chef Idol Sa Kusina Chef Pablo 'Boy' Logro for the Cook with the Chefs," said Chef Armand Mortejo. Celebrity Chef Logro taught the participants how to make Futomaki Thick Sushi Roles and Inside Out California Rolls.
Together with Chef Logro are Chef Mortejo, ICHEF Culinary Instructor and International Chef Consultant Steve Pollard, and local Celebrity Chef Michelle Robin.
Chef Mortejo taught participants how to make Davao Chocolate Dinuguan. Instead of using blood, he substituted it with dark chocolate.
Chef Pollard introduced participants to different foreign cuisines with his recipes on Duck Rendang with fennel yogurt, sweet potato puree, and Cauliflower textures. He also taught to make homemade Shrimp Tortellini with Greek Style Salad.
Then it was a sweet and savory trip with Chef Robin's Chocolate Chip Overload Cookies and Chicken in Cajun sauce with Broccoli pancake.
"We are privileged enough to share our expertise to the students who joined the event as well as restaurant owners from nearby provinces," Mortejo said.
In the evening, Limitless also launched their wine bar at the Buhangin branch to step up the limitless service they are offering to their clients and diners. It was also during this time when the restaurant held a grand buffet with Chef Logro as part of their anniversary celebration.
Chef Mortejo said their clients can expect more from them as they welcome another year to Limitless.
In the last three years, Limitless has become known as among the go-to restaurants for a quality buffet that is value for money.
