THE 2nd Congressman Greg Gasataya Face-off: MassKara Choreographers' Dance Showdown will start today, October 8.
It will run on Mondays through Thursdays, 7 p.m., at the Bacolod Public Plaza and at 9 p.m. at the BGC, Festival Director Eli Tajanlangit said.
Choreographers of all 14 competing barangays in the Street and Arena Dance Competition will form a group of eight to 10 members to battle in a street dance showdown.
There will be four teams each night. Two teams will compete at the West Public Plaza and another two every 10 p.m. at the East BGC grounds.
On October 8, it will be Alex John Calumba versus Joedem Casabuena at the west, while Ronelo Mabilog will go against Agustin Seban at the east.
On October 9, Reylan Delicano will battle against Jao Pastrana at the west and Robert Ruiz against Raymond Cabrillos at the east.
October 10, it is going to be Rommel Murillo versus Jenru Aloro at the west and Emiljune Bantolo versus Yuri Delicano at the east.
On October 14 at the public plaza, west day 1 winner vs west day 2 winner. At BGC, east day 1 winner versus east day 2 winner.
On October 15 at the public plaza, west day 3 winner will battle against 2018 first placer William Bangcaya. At BGC, east day 3 winner will go against 2018 champion Segundo Jesus Cabalcar, Jr.
October 16, and west day 4 loser versus west day 5 loser at the public plaza. And east day 4 loser versus east day 5 loser at the BGC grounds.
October 17, west day 4 winner versus west day 5 winner at the public plaza. East day 4 winner will go against east day 5 winner at the BGC grounds.
October 18, it's west day 6 winner versus west day 7 loser at the Bacolod public plaza. And east day 6 winner versus east day 7 loser at the BGC grounds.
On October 21, it will be west day 9 winner versus west day 8 winner at the public plaza. And east day 9 winner will battle against east day 8 winner at the BGC grounds.
October 22, east loser will go against west loser and east winner versus west winner will all compete at the public plaza for the championship which will be followed by the awarding.
