THE director of the Police Regional Office- Central Visayas (PRO 7) wants to reopen the investigation on the death of a 10-year-old boy whose corpse was found at the back of a car owned by a firefighter in Balamban town last Saturday, October 5, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Debold Sinas, PRO 7 director, has ordered the police chief of Balamban town to conduct a deeper investigation as to how the boy was able to enter the car but never made out alive.

In an earlier interview, Balamban police chief Christian Torres said they found no signs of foul play on the boy's death but he admitted that the owner of the car, Fire Officer 1 Orland Paul Romero, still need to answer some questions particularly on how the boy got to his car in the first place.

No autopsy was conducted on the boy's body as he was immediately buried the day after he was found.

Even Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) director Roderick Mariano had some doubts on how the boy died.

Sinas said he is urging possible witnesses to come out in the open and assist the police in their investigation. (FROM AYB OF SUPERBALITA CEBU)
