Napo Boxing Club stamps class in Carcar

NAPO Boxing Club defended its turf well after dominating the “Showdown in Carcar City” amateur boxing show at the Carcar City gym on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.

Jhamel Aras beat Eson Dungog, Xandy Aras outclassed Junrey Dungog, Renald Mangyao defeated Sherwin Dacullo, Lance Ulbenario won against Ramil Manguilumutan, Jamel Peresores defeated Joebert Dacullo, Gemwel Arañas outgunned Rosario Cutanda and John-John Mangyao beat Ernie Villamor, all by points.

Napo boxers James Navares, Reymart Tagacanao and Angel dela Calzada knocked out Edison Flores, Manolito Egdamen and Sweety Dela Cerna, respectively.

The EMT Boxing Gym had five wins.

Sean Abello knocked out Emmanuel Galo, Clinton Martinez won against Anthony Magos by points, Alex Del Rio outlasted Alexis Jabonero by points, Aki Abello beat Kabang Illustrisimo by points and Jimpol Dignos defeated Harold Ancajas by points.

Meanwhile, Ramil Roda of the Omega Boxing Gym knocked out Archer Frias, Omega Boxing Gym’s Ben Cañete won against Leinard Rica by points, The A Gym’s Kenneth Morales routed Fredritch Locsin by points and Kyle Sumalinog of the Brix Flores Boxing Gym outgunned Clester Dayota by points.

The boxing fans were treated to two three-round exhibition bouts from world-ranked fighters Jeo Santisima and KJ Cataraja in the boxing show promoted by JN Promotions and made possible by Lorenzo Chao Sy.

Santisima, ranked No. 6 in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight division, traded leathers with Jeffrey Stella, while WBO No. 10 super flyweight Cataraja took on Rimon Rama. (EKA)
