THE Public Employment Service Office (Peso) in Zamboanga City is facilitating the conduct of a two-day jobs fair to provide jobseekers an opportunity to be employed.
Peso Manager Ma. Socorro Rojas said the activity, dubbed as the Zamboanga Hermosa Job Fair, will be held from October 17 until 18 at the activity center of the KCC Mall de Zamboanga.
Rojas said 50 recruitment agencies -- 35 local and 15 overseas -- will participate in the jobs fair, which will be held in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
She said the applicants may be high school senior high school students, or Tesda graduates or college graduates of any course.
"They must bring their resume and other pertinent documents and be in appropriate attire," said Roxas.
She said there will be employment coaching and pre-employment seminars during the jobs fair, as well as free Tesda services like massage, manicure and pedicure, and haircut.
She said pre-registration is ongoing at the Peso at the City Social Welfare and Development Office in Pettit Barracks, Zamboanga City. It will run until October 16. (SunStar Zamboanga)
