METRO Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson and assistant secretary Celine Pialago filed on Wednesday, October 9, cyberlibel charges against the people behind two social media pages for posting “fake news” that she said has affected her performance and effectivity.

Pialago filed the charges before the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) against the administrators of satire social media sites Facebook page Pinoy Laugh Page and Twitter page Barurot News.

Both had posted a photo of Pielago with the blurb, “MMDA to commuters: Kung nahihirapan sumakay, 'wag na lang pumasok".
