FORMER Ateneo de Cebu stalwart Zachy Huang waxed hot from beyond the arc to help the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers end its two-game slump with a dominant 101-73 victory over the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors in the UAAP Season 82 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

MVP contender Soulemane Chabi Yo also had 22 points and added 14 boards, two assists and a steal.

UST was up by only two, 20-18, at the end of the first but the Growling Tigers uncorked a 29-9 run that erected a 49-27 lead in the second period. UST would eventually lead by as much as 34 points, 72-38, thanks to their three-point marksmanship that saw them drain a total of 14 three-point shots.
