ZONTA Club of Cebu 2 is a member of Zonta International, a global organization of women professionals or in business, involved in the upliftment of women worldwide. Zonta’s advocacies include, among others, saying no to violence against women and children; providing self-sufficiency projects for marginalized women; and raising funds to finance these tasks. Sometimes, against overwhelming odds, Zontians have toiled tirelessly in their communities, to make Zonta become more recognizable.

In a recent club meeting at Casino Español de Cebu, membership development was in focus as three new ladies were welcomed by Zonta membership committee chairperson, Margot Larrañaga. Hello to Teresa, Maia and Janet!
This being August Moon season, members took on a festive turn, donning colorful and body-shaping cheongsams, and Chinese-inspired tops! It was also an occasion to greet in advance October birthday celebrants: Elena Young (Oct. 6); Mariter Klepp (Oct. 7); Marilu Chiongbian (Oct. 9); and Nonie Uy (Oct. 22).Congrats, ladies!
