HOMEGROWN Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) is currently developing a new commercial complex within the heart of downtown Davao City.

In a statement, Alsons Dev said Poblacion Market Central “is set to enhance the city’s shopping and dining landscape.”

Poblacion Market Central will rise on a 3,892-sqm property along C. Bangoy in the former location of the Madrazo Fruit Stand. The construction of the two-story commercial building began middle of this year and it is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2020 in time for the soft opening in August of the same year.

“Poblacion Market Central will be an inspiring addition to a neighborhood that is at the crossroads of old and new Davao,” the company said in a Facebook post on the official page of the project.

The company added that “Poblacion Market Central will be a celebration of the city’s evolving identity and promising art, retail, and food scene. A place where heritage meets hip.”

“With modern high-rise condos rising alongside top-tier hotels and universities in the area, the project’s location is indeed a prime commercial address,” the company said.

At present they have started to lease sections of the property to interested parties. Those who wish to get a spot at the Poblacion Market Central may contact 0930-354 2186 or hello@poblacionmarketcentral.ph.

Alsons Dev also operates different commercial properties through Alsons Commercial. At present, Alsons Commercial also manages the Aldevinco Shopping Center and the Shoppes at Woodlane.

The Aldevinco Shopping Center is a 8,370-meter commercial space at the corner of C.M. Recto Street and Roxas Avenue. The shopping center is known for the Mindanao artisan wares and indigenous crafts that are being sold here.

Meanwhile, the Shoppes at Woodlane along Diversion Road in Ma-a is a 100-meter commercial strip that features a variety of establishments like a grocery store and restaurants.
